So a 500cc Africa Twin is coming, but not from Honda, or any company that has a tie in with Honda.
The Chongqing Hengjian 500 is a 500cc twin with a 23 litre front fuel tank AND a 17.3 litre rear fuel tank giving a combined 1000-1200km distance between fillups, all this is rolling on 21 front and 18″ rear wheels. There’s 2 versions, a Travel with 820mm seat height and an Adventure version with longer suspension travel which results in a 860mm seat height.
Power is ~47hp with 43 NM of torque.
There’s a full colour touch LCD screen which includes tyre pressure monitoring and ABS braking and even front and rear facing camera’s are factory standard.

HJ Motorcycles have previously released the HJ500X, which looks suspiciously like the Honda CB500X.
So the front half is Honda Africa Twin but the side panels with the rear fuel tanks are pure BMW F800GS, and check the name on the side of the front fairing – GSADV.
